Amazon Cruiser “Reina de Enin” – Ibare-Mamore Reserve
Description
At the edge of the Amazon Basin on Bolivian territory you will find the endless jungle and pampas department of Beni. From here expands a wide and rich system of rivers, lakes and primary forest which Bolivia shares with Brazil in the north. Reaching the small town of Trinidad, capital of the Beni department, we will be welcomed by the heat of the tropical and humid climate, as well as by the exuberant vegetation of the evergreen tropical forest. Arriving at the riverside of the majestic Mamore River, a purely unique experience will wait for us: On a riverboat downstream to the Amazon, along the biggest tributary of the Amazon on Bolivian territory, following its meanders and passing confluences of small rivers, indigenous settlements on the river banks, and secret places where we will meet the gorgeous pink sweet water dolpin: Bufeo or Inia boliviensis, playing in the shallow waters and accompanying our boat for while. Within this remote and unspoiled natural paradise the riverboat combines at the same time expeditions and animal watching by canoe, on a horseback or on foot, with all comfort of western civilization: Imagine having a warm shower and a comfy mattress after a long and exhausting jungle walk. Or enjoying an ice cold beer sitting on the terrace of the boat in the upper level having the most extensive botanical garden of our planet just in front of you – the Bolivian Amazonia.
Day by Day
Day 1: Fly to Trinidad and transfer to boat
Flight to Trinidad. It is the beginning of a unique and unforgettable experience: an expedition into the river below and the largest tributary of the Amazon in Bolivia, a fascinating journey through a vast jungle, through estuaries, salt marshes and indigenous communities. Furthermore, we guarantee that you will see so called “dolphins” or “inica boliviensis” – Dolphins sweet pink water that only exist in Bolivia.
Trinidad, capital of Beni department, welcomes you with its humid climate, vegetation and exotic tropical jungle. The motolancha take us to the nature reserve Ibaré-Mamore where boarded the “Flotel” “Reyna de Enin” and began our walk to the river. Flotel The terrace is the ideal place to relax and watch the exotic plants and animals on the waterfront place. Night at flotel.
Day 2: Boat Activities
The program of the second day of the expedition includes a three-hour hike through the jungle. You will be fascinated by the richness of flora and with a little luck, you will see an occasional inhabitant of the jungle, for example, monkeys. In the afternoon, we’ll cool off in the clear waters of the river near Villa Victoria and after dinner, we go up the river in a boat and a canoe to go with the flow back to the boat, totally wrapped as in deep tropical night . You hear noises of various animals and be surprised by the starry sky. Night at flotel.
Day 3: Boat Activities
In the morning, we will have “shore leave” Carmen and visit the resort and stroll through the savannas and forests of the Llanos de Mojos – the best way to see a variety of birds. Afternoon stroll on the boat – rest, relax on the terrace, observing plants and animals. After dinner, go to “photo safari” looking for alligators. Night at flotel.
Day 4: Transfer to the Flotel Trinidad
In the morning, arrive at the confluence of the Mamore and Ibar rivers, in the heart of the nature reserve, a place where, for different water temperatures, large variety of live animals and where, again, the refreshing waters of the Rio and in the company of dolphins. After midday, take port or Loma Suarez Bridges Ibar river. Transfer to the airport in Trinidad. END OF OUR SERVICES
